About Diana

From Principal Ballerina to Your Personal Instructor

Diana Tóth brings elite athletic discipline and stage artistry to every online class, combining the precision of a national-team gymnast with the refinement of a professional ballerina. She began as a member of the Romanian National Rhythmic Gymnastics Team, earning more than 20 gold medals in national and international competitions. She competed at the European Junior Championships in Prague and at the World Championships in Berlin. Later she trained in classical ballet through the Vaganova Method and graduated with a degree in Choreography from the National University of Theatre and Film “I.L. Caragiale” in Bucharest.

On stage, Diana performed classical repertoire with the National Opera of Bucharest in productions including Swan Lake, La Bayadère, The Nutcracker, Coppélia, The Sleeping Beauty, Le Corsaire, and more. She went on to become a Principal Ballerina at the National Theatre of Operetta “Ion Dacian” in Bucharest, performing leading roles across major musical and contemporary works such as Cabaret, Romeo and Juliet, Maria de Buenos Aires, and Phantom of the Opera.

Her teaching has taken her internationally - including ballet instruction at Les Pointes Ballet Studio in Zhuhai - and she is a certified Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) instructor (Levels 1–3). Diana also holds a TEFL certificate, bringing clear, structured coaching to students worldwide.

Testimonials

What Students Say

Families, adult beginners, intermediate dancers, and pre-professional students work with Diana for technical clarity, stronger placement, safer training, and more confident artistic expression.

Diana's attention to detail transformed my daughter's technique and confidence. Within the first month her posture improved, her feet were far more articulate, and she finally understood corrections that had felt abstract in larger group classes. Diana balances kindness with precision, which keeps young dancers motivated while still pushing them forward.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers for New and Returning Students

Everything you need to know before booking your first private online ballet lesson with Diana.

Who are Diana's online ballet classes for?+

Private lessons are tailored for adult beginners, children, returning dancers, intermediate students, advanced dancers, and pre-professional performers who want focused one-on-one coaching.

Do I need previous ballet experience to start?+

No. Beginner sessions are designed for students who are completely new to ballet as well as adults returning after a long break. Diana adapts pacing, corrections, and exercises to your current level.

What do I need for an online ballet lesson at home?+

You only need a stable internet connection, enough floor space to move safely, comfortable dancewear, and a chair or countertop to use as a home barre when needed.

Can children and serious dancers both train with Diana?+

Yes. Classes are personalized for younger students building fundamentals, intermediate dancers refining technique, and advanced dancers preparing variations, pointe work, or performance goals.

How does Progressing Ballet Technique help?+

Diana's PBT certification supports safe strength, alignment, coordination, and body awareness, which helps dancers improve classical technique while reducing avoidable strain.

How long is each private online ballet class?+

Most private sessions are structured as focused one-on-one lessons with enough time for warm-up, technical work, corrections, and a short review of what to practice between classes. The exact lesson structure depends on age, level, and goals, but every class is designed to make clear progress without unnecessary filler.

Can I take classes if I am an adult beginner?+

Yes. Adult beginners are welcome. Diana works with complete beginners, adults returning after years away from ballet, and dancers who want a more classical and personalized foundation than they can get in a large drop-in class.

Are online ballet lessons effective compared with in-person classes?+

They can be highly effective when lessons are private and structured well. Diana gives real-time feedback on posture, placement, musicality, and coordination, and because the coaching is one-on-one, many students progress faster than they do in crowded studio classes.

What ages does Diana teach?+

Diana teaches children, teenagers, adults, and serious dancers at different stages of training. Younger students receive age-appropriate foundations, while older students and adults get lessons tailored to their current mobility, strength, and artistic goals.

Do I need a ballet barre or special equipment at home?+

No dedicated barre is required to begin. Many students start with a stable chair, countertop, or similar support. For PBT-inspired strength and coordination work, Diana may also recommend simple items such as a mat, resistance band, or exercise ball when appropriate, but those are introduced based on your level.

Can Diana help with pointe work, variations, or audition preparation?+

Yes, for dancers at the appropriate level. Advanced coaching can include pointe support, classical variations, performance preparation, competition coaching, and refinement for auditions or examinations. Training is always adapted to the dancer's current technique and readiness.

How does Diana personalize each lesson?+

Each class is built around your age, experience, physical needs, and artistic goals. Some students need careful foundation work and confidence-building, while others need corrections on turnout, epaulement, extensions, stamina, or artistry. Diana adjusts exercises and pacing accordingly.

What if I live in a different time zone?+

Students train with Diana from different countries, so international scheduling is part of the service. Lessons are arranged around mutually workable times, making it possible for dancers in Europe, Asia, and the Americas to study consistently online.

How often should I take private ballet classes online?+

That depends on your goals. Some students progress well with one focused lesson per week plus home practice, while others prefer two or more weekly sessions for faster technical development, audition preparation, or performance goals. Diana can recommend a rhythm that fits your schedule and level.

What makes Diana's teaching different from a general online dance class?+

Diana combines principal ballerina stage experience, Vaganova-method training, PBT certification, and international teaching practice. That combination means students receive both classical artistic standards and practical, body-aware coaching instead of generic follow-along dance instruction.

How do I book my first private ballet lesson?+

You can use the booking links in the classes section or send a message through the contact form if you want guidance on which session level is right for you. Diana can help you decide whether to begin with beginner, intermediate, advanced, or children's coaching based on your experience and goals.
